Sick with craftiness

I have a cold. Yuck. I HATE being sick... but apparently I get super creative when I am physically unable to buzz about as usual. Maybe it has something to do with the senses- I can't smell or taste anything so my creative sense has become stonger - who knows? Maybe I'm just anxious and need an outlet... Here is about half of my accomplishments of the last 5 days -

matching bibs

I started these baby bibs about 2 weeks ago, but I had to make them cuter by adding the flowers and the adorable buttons.... I like them so much, I wish I had a reason to keep 'em.

The Martha Stewart scarf I taught my Barbie to knit.

I made a scarf for my daughter from the kit I got when I visited The Martha Stewart Show. I like the scarf on my daughter, it's definitely not my style - and although I don't like the yarns I used, I have to admit they look pretty good together.

I sat in my room day-dreaming about the Barbie mansion my sister and I used to share - I thought about all the things I could use to make a Barbie room, popsicle stick wood flooring, lightbox windows - furniture and of course teeny-tiny miniature knitting needles and a ball of yarn - it's my dreamworld afterall - why not?

Barbie size ball o' yarn and needles

Some works in progress I have yet to finish and photograph, which I have been working on randomly during this time of sickly woeful restlessness:

1. An art journal/scrapbook for my trip to New York to see Martha.
2. A scrapbook page inspired by my daughter and her guitar
3. Mothra Stewart in a Jar. . . which is quite strange, and eerie that I made it this week because the Wed. episode (April Fools) showed Martha making a card that said Mothra as a prank and also featured the butterfly stamp which I used to create 'Mothra in a Jar'. it was just weird.
4. A thing for a person which will be finished in June. (secret)
5. More baby bibs and crocheted flowers.

I've been really interested in Art-Journals and Paper Collage stuff.. Someone left a copy of Somerset Memories on the table at work and I just can't get enough!! My sister in law makes these amazing photo books and journals - Maybe I'll get some pictures of her stuff up one of these days...
